Hi, Geistruner here, I used to work for Geist in Australia before the importers went into receivership in March of 2009. My wife and I own a XK660 and continue to travel quite often, our biggest stretch was 2008 with 60,000ms around Australia. In 2007 we did 16,000kms. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs that travel with us most times and tow with a Nissan Pathfinder now. Last year we had a contract with Volkswagen and towed with a Touareg v6 Diesel (beautiful). We are in between vehicles at the moment and using the Nissan Pathfinder for a short three month trip back north. We have a base in Victoria with a shed/house on 16 acres of land and head north in the winter to Townsville where we have the use of 1 3/4 acres to sit back on. The main aim of this website is to bring Geist Owners from around the globe together to discuss and compare notes on their Geist. It is an information blog with links to various areas to help owners. Keep checking back as we discuss more about the Geist range from around the world.
Catch you on the track.

We are not sure if we are in the Geist owners club or not – we received something a month or so after we bought a new Geist in November and sent off a form but have not seen any email or other contact since. – We would appreciate a bit of information about the club
Hi Tony, good question, there are a few that haven’t been on the books. This week you will receive the latest e-newsletter that outlines the NEW Geistowners group. Safe to say you should bookmark this site as everything will hinge form this site. I have voluntarily been looking after the owners club but the fact is a small subscription fee will be needed to keep it all going along with discounts, forums etc… Sorry you haven;t received anything back yet. This week all will be revealed.
Hi Peter,
I have been able to access the forum, but when we joined the group was not given or sent a membership card & as my email address has changed recently have been unable to contact anyone re change of details, hopefully this will surfice. Look forward to the revealation….
Cheers Sally
I found your site by accident while looking for a site to (maybe) sell our XK660 through lack of use. Did not know there was a club. When we purchased our van from Dominic in Brisbane (about 2 years ago) there was a gentleman from the Gold Coast picking his van up after a service and he mentioned in passing that he might start up a club. I did not think anymore about it. How do we join? This may give us a reason to reconsider selling our van.
It’s simple Brian and Anne, all you need to do is click on the subscribe buttons on the side. When you subscribe you will be given the passwords to the rest of the site and be sent an email from us regularly keeping you up to date. I am currently planning a get together that should be announced in a month or so. This will enable us all physically to catch up. There is a forum to ask questions on and read with hundreds of ideas. You also get discounts from preferred Geist Service Agents on parts and yearly service. we have a HELP desk that I man so you can get the questions when you want them. So the small cost to be involved comes back in discounts, service and information. Not to mention the Geist Retreat available to members in Victoria. Hope to see you on board, don’t sell your Geist, it’s too much fun on the road!

Hi Peter
We have been in touch with you in the past but not as a member of the Geistowners Club (re: Satellite dish for Geist vans). We are currently on a 12 month trip around Australia having left Manjimup WA December 2008. Every time we come across a Geist owner there is always vigorous discussion about how our vans are going. We share little tips and information that makes our journey more comfortable eg. we found that using 10mm plastic tubing, cut to the length of each window and inserted between the flywire and the flywire-channel wehave been able to reduce the amount of small insects coming into the van at night when the lights are on. Without the tubing the flywire flaps backwards and forwards allowing the insects to come in. We have also inserted flywire into the roof vent in the kitchen. We are heading towards Victoria in October and would be very interested in accessing the Geist Retreat. Can you please forward information.
Great little tips, not heard of the plastic tubing being used for anti flywire flap. Good Idea.
We would be very happy to have you at the Geist Retreat. I will forward some details to you.
Catch you on the track.
